Protein Packed Shakes

8:00 AM

One of the best aides in my weightloss journey included Protein Packed Shakes. The Protein Shakes helped curb my appetite during the day, which kept my empty hands out of the cookie jar. Being an Insulin Pump Dependent Diabetic the high protein and low carbohydrate counts in the shakes helped lower my A1C levels from 7.9 to 6.1 in just a few short weeks. The Protein Packed Shakes also helped me gain a confidence in myself I had long ago lost as the weight piled on and suffocated the person I used to be.

As I began adding the Protein Packed Shakes to my daily routine, I noticed how my mental status became clearer. I deal with Fibro Fog or the Inability to concentrate when my fibromyalgia flares from over use of muscles, which was happening almost daily.  I also noticed that my body was able to move with less pain when exercising, playing with my kids or working in the garden. My muscles were repairing quickly after my intense workouts. The added bonus was that the weight seemed to melt off me in no time.

Let me share with you three of my favorite go to Protein Packed Shakes. I love great flavor and thick texture and these shakes offer both of those great things.

I created the Rejuvenator Shake after my first week of intense working out. I was not able to move from my couch for three days. I drank this combination of ingredients, as the electrolytes and coconut water are both great supplements to help with replenishing your body with what it has lost during intense workouts and muscle strain.
Rejuvenator Shake.
2 Scoops French Vanilla Protein Powder
8 ounces Coconut Water
2 scoops Orange Electrolytes
Blend and enjoy!

I created the Peanut Butter Shock-olate Shake during my second month of my weightloss journey. I found I needed a punch of energy as my infant daughter was barely sleeping which meant the same for me and getting up to workout was a struggle. This is a tasty way to get the morning started with a punch.
Peanut Butter Shock-olate Shake
Natural low fat peanut butter
8 ounces of strong black coffee
1 scoop Natural fiber powder (watermelon, apples, and beets in it)
2 scoops of chocolate protein powder
Blended and enjoyed!

I created the Pumpkin Pie Shake after being taunted with advertisements of Pumpkin flavored EVERYTHING! I L-O-V-E Pumpkin!!! However, after working so hard to shed the weight I did not want to squash all my hard work for a few minutes of bliss. (Did ya catch that play on words? Pumpkin is a squash...har har. Ok it is not funny if I have to explain it. Ha Ha!) After enjoying, this shake I promise you, you will not miss the drive thru pumpkin shakes.
Pumpkin Pie Shake
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 Scoops French Vanilla Protein Powder
1 banana, frozen
3 tablespoons pumpkin puree
1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Blend and enjoy!

I hope you try and enjoy these fantastically Proven: Protein Pack Shakes That Really Help Shed The Pounds! Theses three shakes are delicious and helped me loose weight during the times I yearned to eat the comfort foods of my Former Fat Girl self.

  2. I've never really got my head around the shake business! I like the sound of them, they work for some people though, so thats the main thing. I often pick up a fruit smoothie when I am in town full of frozen fruit and yoghurt. I always think how nice they are think I should make these myself at home I just don't get round to it! Thanks for linking up to #familyfun

    1. I also love fruit smoothies. The great thing about the powder I use is I can add fruit to it also, I just have to count the sugars for my diabetes. However they are delish!
