Weightloss Journey - week 3

9:14 AM

Last weekend we did family activities. Saturday we spent the day at a family literacy fair. We made book themed crafts and snacks. We had stories read to us by the authors, played book themed games, had our faces painted, did a bear hunt, the kids did dress up and had pictures taken, printed and we decorated frames and got to take home a bag of free books. After walking around the college campus for 3 hours, I was exhausted.

Sunday was filled with church, dancing and fun. Once home my husband decided it was time for me to start learning to drive the motorcycle. My muscles had a thorough workout.

Monday was a no move day.

Tuesday I walked through the pain. I had no choice as I had parent orientation for kindergarten sign up. I walked up two flights of stairs to walk around the entire building to walk up another flight of stairs to get to the elementary cafeteria. When I left, I opened the back door and walked straight to the parking lot. Thank you to the unorganized staff who thought going through a maze was a great idea! My legs were now on fire.

Wednesday brought me back to the school for the actual registration process. At first I thought this is going to be easy. I went to the main office and asked if I could be let into the back door as I had my daughter in her stroller and there was no way I was trying to pull her up all those stairs. We walk around to the back of the building to the office we needed to and hand over all the filled out papers. We are handed another paper that has five people we have to see for pre-screenings.  We must see them in order. The first person is downstairs, then we come back to where we are, then upstairs, downstairs on other side of the building and back to the floor, we are on. At this point, I am seriously debating taking up residency in the vacant chair next to me while the hubs takes our son to see these people. I ask is there any way they can meet us on one floor and point to the stroller. Guess what I was told…”You can go around the corner and use the elevator”. ELEVATOR!!!! Are you bleeping serious! At this point, my body is shaking from all I have done all week and I want to curl up in the car and wait. We do what we need to and leave 2 hours and 10 minutes later. Yes, I kept track. Once home I passed out on the couch for three hours.

Thursday was an exhaustion day. I slept on and off all day. My sugar levels were low and I had to struggle to keep them up. With the exercising all week and the sugar struggles I become very weak and exhausted.

Friday is a “hangover day”. I do not drink, as I am allergic to either the barley or the hops. Therefore, my “hangover” feeling is from exhaustion and the yoyos of my sugar levels yesterday. I have the groggy, lightheadedness, slow deep throbbing ache between my eyes, reluctant muscles, dry mouth and overall drained. On the positive side my daughter slept the WHOLE NIGHT 8:30 pm to 7:00 am!!!!! Yeah slow silent dance in my chair cheer.

Even though I did not do my exercise routine, my body is still so weak from pregnancy and health issues the activities I did do exhausted me and worked muscles that have been dormant.

Let us see what week 4 brings.
Warm Wishes to You and Yours

    1. We did tell them how unorganized they were and that it would make it difficult for some not as mobile as us.

  2. Gosh sounds like you have had a tough time! Surely all this exertion will yield positive results though. Exercise has to be hard to work, apparently! Thanks for linking up to #StayClassy

  3. I hate when one day I have a ton of energy and I'm all over the place getting things done like a true ninja and the next day I can hardly get out of bed. I pretty much know now that the days I'm full of energy I better fit everything I can in cause the next day I will be guaranteed lazy. Thanks for linking with #momsterslink and hope to see you again today...it opens in 6 hours!
